@philippineleroybeaulieu made a conscious decision to remain in character during the filming of the first season of @emilyinparis. “I was trying to get into character, so I was in character all the time and [Lily Collins, who plays Emily] was scared of me,” Leroy-Beaulieu laughs. “But then in season two she understood that I wasn’t a monster... She’s adorable and a great professional and we have a lot of fun. It helped me a lot and I think it helped her, too, to create a dynamic which then stuck. I kind of liked it, I have to admit.
