GRATEFUL. This year, this birthday I’ve been able to appreciate and celebrate life with a different perspective. Year after year we exert so much energy trying to curate the perfect birthday event that fosters a moment where all of our friends and loved ones can have a good time. As the days got closer to my birthday this year my anxiety grew as I didn’t have a plan for my birthday like I always do. I realized this year there wasn’t going to be a set plan in place as usual because God was setting me up to receive the love I needed during this season in a different way. Starting a week before and leading up to my birthday today, a different friend would message me setting a plan for a timeframe on a particular day where they would be spending time celebrating me in their own unique way which expressed and demonstrated their love for me. I didn’t have to plan anything this year and have been blown away by all of your expressions of love that you’ve sent to me through personalized brunches, dinners, surprise parties, events, and messages. I’m so blessed to have such beautiful friends and grateful to have found my tribe that understands the true value of life and friends. Thank you to everyone that continues to believe in me and keeps showing up for me. I’m excited for this next chapter of my life. Stay tuned.
