Hello Upper East Siders, and welcome to another #WaldorfWednesday! It's that time of year again: My birthday is this Saturday (HINT HINT) and my hopes for the day are high - kind of like Blair's were before she met her mom's new boyfriend in season two, episode 10, "Bonfire of the Vanity." (Unlike Blair, I won't be hosting my friends for a fully-catered breakfast to plan my party, but there's always next year.) This is another one of those blink-and-you-miss-it outfits, which honestly, it's so wild to me you can put so much work into something that's only on screen for a few precious minutes! The only part we really even see on camera is the top, a black shirt from Alice + Olivia which features a hot pink ombré ruffle at the bust. Thankfully, we can see the skirt it's paired with in still images: A tweed mini from the Fall 2008 Marc by Marc Jacobs collection in highlighter pink flecked with silver. This is a hard color combo to pull off, but the shapes keep things clean and preppy. I would, as always, kill to know what shoes were paired with this, but Blair is wearing her signature Alex Woo diamond initials, as well as a pale pink Rachel Leigh bow bracelet. (This is THE accessory of season two - it pops up in so many colors.) It's the perfect poppy look to reflect B's optimism for the lawyer who stole her mom's heart...now, how long can it last? You know you love me!
