Swimming in a public pool was one of my biggest taboos when it came to body confidence. Last year was the first time I did it in my adult life, and it was truly an exhilarating and freeing feeling. When @fandfclothing asked me to be included in their swimwear campaign I knew that meant getting my top off (there was absolutely zero obligation to, but I knew I had to and wanted to in order to truly get my message across). And I'm so glad they did ask me, because it pushed me to get swimming again, and in florescent yellow shorts! 🙂 The truth is, I stopped swimming in the public pool a while ago because I was feeling all sorts about my body again. Being body confident and positive doesn't just happen every minute of every day, I really have to work at it. Which is why this campaign came at the perfect time - to force me to dive in again! And of course, no one was looking and no one cared about my body. Although I think I did see a few admiring glances of the new swim shorts! I’m not just saying this, but they fit better than any other shorts I own: true to size, these are all XLs as well as the all the T-shirts.
