Did you know that the U.S. dollar is widely accepted in St. Lucia and English is their official language? You may find many people who speak French Creole there as well. St Lucia is a small island and it runs only 27 miles long and 14 miles wide. Saint Lucia is the only country in the world to be named after a woman, Saint Lucy of Syracuse. The symbol of St. Lucia is the Pitons, as you can see in my photos. The Gros Piton and Petit Piton are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and are not to be missed. I would say that the Pitons are the most iconic part of St. Lucia.
