A private cabin, toasted marshmallows and breakfast at the foot of Mt Fuji. Last week we had the pleasure of staying at Hoshinoya Fuji, Japan’s first glamping resort - think camping atmosphere with a luxury twist. Designed by Rie Azuma, each minimalist concrete cabin is immersed seamlessly into the red pine forest and has its own unique view over Mt Fuji and Lake Kawaguchi. Breakfast and dinner are served on your own private terrace (with bonus heated kotatsu), and resident ‘Glamping Masters’ are on hand to make your stay as smooth as possible - needless to say this one is going to be hard to beat.
