''Even though the artist's name accompanying the work is Nicolaas Warb, Sophie Elisabeth Warburg actually made the painting and uses a male name as an alias. A curator told me this after I expressed my interest in the work. Believing that the work of female artists was taken less seriously by critics, Sophia adopted her husband's surname, Nicolaas. I am very inspired by this lady who traveled to Paris and made a career for herself by setting her own rules. Without knowing the painter, I was really drawn to these works. At first, by the color and movement, I see in the painting. It reminds me of the sea and the wind in the sails, it has a calming effect on me.''
