Dear Brother Biyi! Death Catches The Hunter... and the artist.. In 1995 I had a theatre company Wild Iris with my friend Polly Irvin. We toured Biyi’s play Death Catches The Hunter - opening at BAC where we had our office touring the country ending at The Traverse in Edinburgh. A play showcasing everything that Biyi was brilliant at - puncturing pomposity with great humour and celebrating the wit and brilliance of regular Nigerians and by extension West Africans with enormous love and tenderness. I cannot believe you and your great light have passed. Ach.. rest sweet Prince 🙏🏾♥️🔥🙏🏾
