Made it a decade. Or just the blink of an eye.⁣ ⁣ While I really need to feel free to be happy, at times I’ve let my own fears hold me back from fully exploring that freedom. One thing I greatly feared was speaking in front of others and what other people thought of me. Somewhere around 9 years ago, Sage decided we should film a YouTube video together. At one point we had to stop because I was in tears due to my fear, yet Sage patiently encouraged me to keep at it. While it’s still something I struggle with at times, I love how many people I’ve helped on their running journeys over the years. Thank you for that gift, Sage.⁣ ⁣ I love exploring and trying new things, but I can get in my own head about all the reasons as to why I shouldn’t do something. Because of Sage, I’ve traveled all over the world, I’ve climbed mountains that I once thought were past my ability level, learned to ski, and so much more. In that, my sense of freedom has expanded into seemingly limitless possibilities.⁣ ⁣ There have been some incredibly sad and challenging moments in the past 10 years. Even the past year has seemed like a lot with lots of doctor visits, medical bills and deciding to sell a dream we had because paying both a mortgage and rent after our condo burned down is a lot to handle. However, I look back at the past 10 years and I’m just so grateful for sharing this adventure called life with Sage. Together we’ve created a company we’re passionate about and such a cool life. We’ve pushed each other to grow as people and to understand the advantages of our personality differences. Sage has taught me to be more playful and spontaneous no matter what’s going on in our lives. We might not have the traditional lives or relationship that other people have after being together for this long, but these years have felt like the adventure of a lifetime. ⁣ ⁣ Sage, thanks for being my adventure partner these past 10 years. I’ll always have mountains of love for you.
