Race recap for the @mojaveoffroad race over the weekend for two wheelin Tuesday! Friday evening we landed on the Soggy Dry lakebed where main pit was. Preran the course at dusk with the @polarisrzr Pro R taking notes on the iPad in the @mobarmor enclosure to be prepared for Saturday mornings heat one. Started off on the 3rd row with 9 cars in class. By mile 14 @kevinqms and I made it to the lead and started cruising through some really rough sections to preserve the car knowing how gnarly the course was. @a_a_a_racing caught us around mile 30 so we had to turn it up a bit and push harder. End of lap one, 50 miles in, we were able to gain roughly a minute and a half over second place. Lap two received a puncture flat around mile 15 and drove with a front right flat until our remote pit at mile 25 where using out @ruggedradios were able to get @el_van69 and his son to be ready for a quick tire change. By this time the 1600’s we’re making there way into the mix and passing us creating dust and eyes on the mirrors cause these dudes were moving for that big prize purse and bragging rights. No other issues for the rest of lap two and pressure being alleviated due to a few of the other top guys having issues coming in for fuel with our @redheadvalves making quick work to get back out there. Lap 3 @kevinqms and I had to pee bad so it was for sure our fastest lap hitting all our marks to bring it home to the finish line for the WIN 🤙🏼 no major mistakes or big scary moments this race with fun yet brutal course. This layout had some high speed lakebeds, silt sections that could have swallowed the bug, rocks lots of rocks in sections, couple wild soft hill climbs, sand sections and everything else the desert could throw at you. Once again our @empi_inc backed bug on @xcomp_tires prevailed. @slettenracingengines was screaming the whole time never missing a beat. @prpseats helped preserve my back as best as possible but it’s still wrecked.
