olourscape returns to Cassiobury Park in Watford with a full ten-day festival Enter a new world of colour and light. Explore a unique labyrinth of 70 interlinked chambers of intense colours and discover musicians and dancers interacting with you. Weekends will feature ensembles; dancers; new instruments, computer music. Weekdays will feature resident musician Michael Ormiston presenting family-friendly music where you can join in. FESTIVAL DIARY Saturday August 20th "Sylvia & I" Chris Dowding (trumpet and electronics) and Sylvia Hallett (accordian, bicycle wheel, and electronics) create an unusual ensemble. Sunday Aug 21st A day of music with the extraordinary Hurdy-Gurdy player, Stevie Wishart. Monday Aug 22nd to Friday Aug 26th - our resident musician Michael Ormiston: free-flowing performances and workshops for families. Fantastic for all ages. Saturday Aug 27th Our Symphony of the Elements Tour - unique ensemble with local composer David Stevens (computers); Michael Ormiston (Far Eastern instruments); Ansuman Biswas (Asian percussion) and movement artist Jordan Bridge Sunday Aug 28th Strings and Computers: Violinist, Phil Wachsmann and cellist Bruno Guastalla have their string sounds manipulated and transformed by the computer processing of Lawrence Casserley. Monday Aug 29th Gamelan Kembang Kirang perform through the day. The gongs, chimes and flutes of Bali fill Colourscape with hypnotic music.
