How the Blue Lagoon, a 1980 American romantic film starring the young @brookeshields came as the initial inspiration of this shoot. And as we developed further, we spoke about the idea of purity and innocence laden by the unspoken battles with one’s inner demons. A friend pointed that the first image reminded him of this Japanese horror manga character – Tomie Kawakami - where men are drawn to her beauty which inevitably led to violence and death. And that, sounds about right to me.
