Story Time: Real shit, I started my FILM journey after getting a job a Spike Lee’s @40acresandamulefilmworks . Me and @chelseaodufu sat across from each other and I would play her my rap records. Convinced her to shoot “Lit for the Low” for me, for free 😅, if I would do the edit. She always showed me mad love 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾. I also smoked mad weed BEFORE work and would always get reprimanded. This will come back later. While at 40 I got invited to Cote D’ivoire by @lue_newyork for @ffanyc to shoot a documentary for him. (That trip is another story for ANOTHER time) but after being there for 2 weeks. I got the call from Jason Lampkin (40acres) that “they have to replace me.” Damn. When J got back to the states I had no job. Chelsea sent me my first production gig. And I’ve been working ever since. All the way from being a PA to convincing @mzinso13 to put up his credit for @culturewitha3 to get a credit line. 🙃 Buying our own equipment. Shooting small visuals. Etc etc. Eventually I broke into TV/Digital TV with @joebudden @revolt @stateofthecultureshow where I met the BEAST @bmc.tv (How i got there is a whole other story, ask me sometime) B brought me on the shoot you see me in, in this picture. . .
