In America I think it can be difficult to understand how important and deeply meaningful the life of Queen Elizabeth II was to so many. I heard that a rainbow appeared outside of Buckingham Palace as she passed. This seems appropriate. My heart breaks today for those closely connected to an incredible life well lived. We do often see the visual of the Queen as a woman in her older age. But for so many years she has had such an incredible weight to carry. It’s been said that even in what some may have seen as missteps, she always carried this weight with grace and honor. May we all do the same. Rest sweet Queen.
