As a nutrition entrepreneur who also works in private practice, it’s vital to have face-to-face conversations about some of the brands and products that might help out the clients you serve. It’s one of my favorite ways to get the scoop on the latest developments, new products or flavors, and understand how they may or may not be helpful. And it’s just as helpful to get to know farmers and better understand what goes into growing, harvesting, packing, and shipping our food. This is my first time seeing a farm in central Florida and I wish we could have had more time! One of the visiting farmers is Kamal Bell from @sankofafarms in North Carolina, who shared more about their beekeeping program and the challenges Black farmers are facing in ag.
