#InTheStudio with recent @joanmitchellcenter_nola Artist-in-Residence Yashua Klos: “I make collage based in printmaking...where I’m creating all of my source materials from woodblock printing. A lot of the work that I'm doing now is portraits of family members that I just got reconnected with. I'm kind of using portraiture in a way to understand part of myself that I've been estranged from.” Yashua Klos (@yashuared) is a New York-based mixed media visual artist. He was a Spring/Summer Artist-In-Residence at the Joan Mitchell Center in New Orleans. His mural project, Our Living, is currently on view at the Center for Maine Contemporary Art (@cmcanow) through September 11. Klos has a solo show, We Hold The Wildflowers, opening at @zidounbossuytgallery, Luxembourg, on September 22. His solo show, OUR LABOUR, will open at @sikkemajenkins & Co., NYC, on October 22.
