Haunting and wistful extraterrestrial captured by @charles_prothero , all knitted pieces by me . I had a wonderful time at @thismoth ‘s show MetamorpH last week in Norwich. I performed a new kind of act all about movement, sensuality and the uncanny. . I’ve wanted to perform a yarn alien act for ages, an alien from a planet where all is made of yarn. An alien that is out of this world and eccentric, yet carries out a mundane existence; eerie and comforting. I think it was about delving into this juxtaposition of being seen but not wanting to be seen, of sensuality and timidity, and of power and weakness. . I’ve been regarding time on stage less as a medium to impress or entertain an audience, but as a capsule from a liminal plain where I can meditate, and materialise unfamiliar and confusing feelings.
