Midnight was the first song intentionally written for the album, and it was in the height of lockdown. Initially I didn’t want to reference the pandemic much with this album, but it’s almost impossible not to with Midnight. I sent Ali a mic and an interface, and we used this incredible plug-in from @audiomovers to write and record the vocals remotely across the country. We both had so much fun during these remote sessions once we found our groove, and it’s helps that Ali is such a fucking superstar! Love you forever @alisonmaywander ❤️
