So what’s new with you? What’s next in your career? Questions I get often as it might not look like I’m up to much except for taking mirror selfies and staying hydrated. (Pssst: it’s castor oil) 💁🏾‍♀️ Real talk… there’s not much new. But I can tell you this though- there’s no career path or job I’m more proud of than being a mom and a wife and a homemaker. I try my best at all three, and it’s a full-time calling, I can assure you. I truly am so lucky and blessed to have the love and support of an incredible husband and best friend… who pushes me and has always given me ample room to chase my passions… and the absolute luxury to choose how I spend my time. I’m so grateful for four children that have expanded me physically, emotionally, and spiritually in ways I could never put into words. They are kind and smart and funny and good and give me hope. For the privilege of being home and available and present with them throughout so much of their childhood and for a safe and comfortable home…none of it is lost on me… not anymore. I heard someone say that you know you’re on the right path when it disappears in front of you. Allan Watts said: “The invitation is not to show how inventive and imaginative you are But how much you can notice what you’re already part of And appreciate it and share it And care about those that are around you… look out for their welfare while you are looking out for your own, that’s it— And then you’ll get to the end of it, having had an awesome time.” Pinching myself daily that I get to witness sunsets while on this beautiful journey, with these beautiful people.
