My DMs blew up when I shared this clip on IG Stories. Some of y’all had never even seen me with straight hair. I actually wore my hair straight every day for about a decade. But I stopped straightening it around five years ago when my daughter’s hair started to grow in and it dawned on me—she was going to have curly hair but she was never going to grow up loving her curls if she didn’t see me love mine. In the last few years I’ve showed her how to love and take care of her curls and every so often she sees me get a blow out & press, usually to achieve a style. The kicker in all of this is that it was 🐬’s first time seeing me with straight hair and he was very upset about it. He prefers my curls and he let me know it 😂😂😂 So what do you think?
