This pride weekend was a transformative joy. Queer joy is the most powerful and beautiful joy I have ever experienced. I thank my lucky stars I’m queer, it has made my life infinitely better. It can be a process to feel that way but the burden isn’t ours. It was foisted upon us and I am foisting it back baby! It’s not my weight to carry, so consider it dropped. I can never accurately express in words the gratitude I feel for my queer fam and for queer spaces. I love you all. To anyone who doesn’t have access to a queer community or queer spaces right now: a. Let’s be friends, for real!! b. You will. I didn’t always have the community I have now. Your community is out there waiting for you with open arms. Our queer joy isn’t limited to pride month. Let’s keep letting it rip all year people!
