My Step Dad was laid to rest today at Arlington National Cemetery. John Loveland lived quite the life. His time in the Navy earned him a spot at this incredible resting place for so many American Service Men and Women. His 45 years in law enforcement and time as a Park Police officer motorman earned him a humbling 30 motor officer motorcade from Haymarket to Arlington (check out the video). The last pic is a day in US history that everyone knows. It is the day that President Reagan was shot. Johnny was the Park Police officer in the orange slicker that helped subdue John Hinkley. What a legend! I’m so grateful I was able to be a part of today. What an amazing experience and a beautiful way to honor his life. RIP, Johnny. We will miss you.
