I really love pretzels, in any shape possible. Something in the dark roast crust and the chewy interior is so addictive. I took my Pretzel recipe I shared with you a couple of months ago, and shaped it into beautiful buns. This buns are perfect for sandwiches, morning toasts, or just snack as is with some spicy mustard! What gives them the classic pretzel flavor is the Lye solution you dip them in before baking. It’s very important you won’t forget wearing gloves to protect yourself from skin burns.
Ingredients (full recipe will be shared on the newsletter):
- 500 gr flour
- 250 gr water
- 25 gr soft butter
- 10 gr salt
- 10 gr dry yeast
- 1 tablespoon barley malt syrup
- 2L water (for the lye mix)
- 50 gr lye powder (food grade)
