The current abortion landscape in our country is ever-changing. Pregnant people face uncertainties as they struggle to navigate abortion bans, restrictions, and financial obstacles. These barriers disproportionately affect undocumented and immigrant communities who already face harsh restrictions on public health coverage. We believe that it is the essential right of any human being to have control over one’s reproductive freedom and bodily autonomy. We must include immigrant justice in the conversation around expanding and protecting abortion access because immigrant justice is a reproductive justice issue.
