For almost a decade, my Baba has been building an all girls orphanage in his hometown of Sachiamara, Dhaka, Bangladesh. The orphanage is a home, school and community for over 42 young girls. Baba and I spoke about how important it was to make sure these young girls weren’t married off without their consent, how they need funds to survive after finishing school, and the kinds of anti-fundamentalist educators they need to thrive in a feminist environment.
