One of the things that people with ADHD commonly struggle with is hyper-focusing on things. This means spending ludicrous amounts of time doing things that are sometimes useful (we can hyper-focus on work and be highly productive when in the right mood) and sometimes not so useful (like the times I’ve stayed up until 5am moving furniture around the living room, then crying because I’m so tired). In yesterday’s case, it was 4 hours digging up my balcony plants and rearranging them because I became obsessed with the idea that they looked OK but could look better with a rejig. Obvs I’ve probably killed a couple by disturbing the roots and they actually look worse now, but good to have a hobby, right?! 😁
