There is nothing more fun than making homemade pizza and sipping a glass of vino along the way. Our pizza recipe below is totally vegan and uses delicious toppings from @mezzetta for a tasty pie that pairs deliciously with a glass (or two) of Cabernet Sauvignon from the @coppolawine diamond collection, which has totally become our daily drinker around here. Vegan Pizza Pie π
1 12β pizza crust of choice (I used GF)
1/4 cup @mezzetta pizza sauce
1/2 cup vegan mozzarella
1/4 cup @mezzetta olives, sliced (my FAVORITE buttery pizza olives)
3 button mushrooms, sliced
1/2 red bell pepper, sliced
1 tbsp balsamic glaze
Fresh basil, for garnish
Italian Salad π₯¬
6 cups lettuce, chopped
1/4 cup @mezzetta pickled onions (holy yum!)
1/4 cup @mezzetta olives
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
2 tbsp balsamic glaze
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
Preheat oven to 450. Sprinkle flour or corn meal on a pizza pan. Roll out your dough 1/4β thick on a lightly floured clean flat surface and transfer to the prepared pan. Top with sauce, cheese, olives, mushrooms and peppers and bake for 12-14 minutes. Remove from the oven and top with a drizzle of balsamic and sprinkle of basil.
While pizza is baking, add the lettuce, onions, olives, and tomatoes to a serving bowl. Drizzle with balsamic and olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Toss to combine.
