I’ve been wanting to share this moment for a while now, and today feels particularly right! 2 years ago today, on December 22nd, marks the beginning of the most wonderful, fantastical, and phenomenal 2 years ever. The moment I found out about landing the role as Ling Yi. I remember having spent the entire weekend prior trying to rationalize why I wouldn’t get the role, to the point where my family offered to join me as I took the call, but I refused, as I was adamant that it would be a rejection call. Very funny how things seem to work in mysterious ways! I look back at this video often- not for any particular reason, just as a reminder of the amount of joy there is to feel. I will never be able to perfectly express the gratitude I feel to Bo and Jantje, for trusting me to tell Ling Yi’s story, for allowing me to bring to life the story of a beautiful, strong, and courageous girl... who I now hold so dearly in my heart.
