REAL TALK // I feel like there’s a little bit of a misconception out there regarding Makeup and it’s ability to cover and make all our imperfections disappear (cue the Paris filter - I’ve been guilty of using this filter on myself. I mean who doesn’t want to look airbrushed and flawless hey?!) Makeup will definitely even out skin discolouration (ie redness, pigmentation etc). What it WON’T do is make the texture in your skin disappear (see this video) So any raised pimples and congestion you have will still be there even with Makeup applied. I think as a society, we’re so used to seeing airbrushed skin on celebrities that we put too much expectation on ourselves to look the same way otherwise we feel like we’re failing in some way or another. Does anyone else agree?!
