Last night’s Geminid Meteor Shower!
I saw some of the most prominent shooting stars of my life. Unfortunately, most of them were out of frame since the camera only sees such a small portion of the night sky, or they would streak across the sky seemingly perfectly timed for when I wasn’t taking a photo haha. Either way, it was a blast to be out there and reinvigorating to try something new.
This is a composite merging multiple photos through the night before the moon came up and made it too bright for viewing. I specifically wanted to capture the radiant point for this shower, the Gemini constellation, which is the celestial point in which the meteors seem to originate.
All photos were taken on a tripod with the same camera settings and merged in Photoshop.
Camera Settings- 14mm, f/2.8, 20 sec, ISO 5000.
Images/adventures like these take a lot of work. If you enjoyed this, please leave a comment or share it with others who might be interested. Thanks so much for the support!
