As time goes, and another year comes, and I grow a year older, I feel a mix of emotions, but ultimately comes joy for the life I’m building. I chose to take a snippet of this essay from NOT FOR SHOW, because I think my younger self would be proud of what we have now. Maybe she’d still be sad that yes, sometimes we still feel deeply lonely or out of place, but at the same moment, we also feel great love, with roots that go deeper than we can know. December was frankly a very gloomy month for me, but my family and friends helped me find the light in it. Especially my mom and sister—my best friends. Every day is a new day, but a new year always does seem to feel like a new chapter. Keep the ink fresh. 🥂💐✨
