🤍 FOXY SILVER 🤍 Olá from Portugal! I’m here celebrating my 50th birthday and a 3-month sabbatical...feeling into the next chapter of Life. Part of this new chapter is embracing the aging journey, and what is now my natural hair color. I’ve been coloring my hair for the past 15 years once “the grays” started to emerge. Going into quarantine presented the opportunity to let it grow in natural, and I jumped in head first, ha. I joined forces with @andiemacdowell as we made a pact to go natural together, and coined the term “Foxy Silver” together. She is one of the most beautiful and inspiring role models in the beauty industry, and in doing so, she giving women like me permission and confidence to embrace this part of ourselves and the aging process. Men are called Silver Fox’s and women are generally called “gray-haired” That never felt sexy or inspiring, and planned on coloring my hair indefinitely. As priorities continue to shift, and once I declared myself a Foxy Silver, it felt exciting, and the perspective I needed. Now it’s almost half way grown in, so I’ve made it past the worst part, phew! But that doesn’t mean I love it all the time, in fact, many days it’s jarring when I catch my reflection in the mirror, and there starts the “aging story loop”. AND there are days where I’m starting to really love it! I don’t know where this will lead me, but curiosity is where I’m starting. Having new hair is an opportunity to refresh and play with your makeup color palette a bit. I’ve been exploring more tones of purple, pink, and taupe, and brought some old faves & new products for my travels.
