Sometimes... it’s all about the simple details. We love this corner of a very calm and elegant bedroom in a country house project. A beautiful pale green strie fabric has been battened to the walls and trimmed with a grosgrain braid. In front of this, the grandeur of the gilt framed oil painting is balanced by the hand painted lamp base and console table. There’s plenty of mahogany furniture and glass and brass lamps in this room - so sometimes a moment to relax and keep things simple with paint is just what you need to balance the space.
