#mjthemusical Photo Dump Journey • • • The first 2 pics is Tone & I doing an old Broadway ritual. The pouring of oil + honey and taking a shot of whiskey (we did that off camera lol)... it was led by by our playwright the forever amazing @lynnnottage & one of our amazing actors @antoinelsmith32 .... This ritual is parallel with Broadway going back to the 1st days. Below is a description • • Oil is for a smooth run, honey is for sweet success and Liquor to keep the spirits high. An offering to invite the ancestors to join us... • • The stage is the #neilsimontheatre on 52nd between 8th & 7th. Many legends graced this stage. One was the great #fredastaire and this was the stage he performed his 1st musical.... And now we’re part of a show that comes from one of the Greats @michaeljackson. • • Honored to have worked with such a prolific group of artists.
