@1909.bookstore is happy to invite you at @doverstreetlittlemarket for the launch of @bluemoonmagazine 6th issue, a newsprint publication loosely dedicated to mysticism and underground artists. This issue surrounds the motif of time and features: Wim Wenders, Dylan Solomon Kraus, Beatrice Domond, Simon Souchois, Grace Rosario Perkins, Melchior Tersen, Medina Kalac, Brontez Purnell, Sara French, Viktor Briestensky, Chandra Melting Tallow, Ben Charles Trogdon, and Wallace Berman. Launch: December 15, 6pm-8pm, First floor Exhibition: December 16-18, 11am-7pm, Dover Street Little Market & 1909 Bookstore - First floor Free entry New York-based multidisciplinary artist and musician, Ben Charles Trogdon (@vbdbct) is known for his long-lived DIY punk publication NUTS! and newer zines Rock N Roll Forever and Tattoo Punk. He has been photographing the American punk scene for over 15 years and has played in bands JJ Doll, Vanity, Sister Anne and Abism. He will be showing a new set of collage and pastel works for his first solo show in Europe. Combing multiple subjects into resultant collages, the works incorporate many of Trogdon’s passions and inspirations: New York City, punk culture, tattoos, music, and his friends. His works are hand-cut and collaged with overlaid bold colors and banners. The outcome is electric DIY images, infused with genuine spirit and originality.
