The last three years I’ve been, with the help of others, dismantling New Age junk and pointing out its ubiquity in spiritualizing late capitalism. But I think sufficient damage has been done. There’s greater awareness around bypassing, and it’s time to figure out the path forward. I believe the path forward has a lot to do with the way we orient ourselves toward reality to begin with: language. Moving away from priming ourselves with individualistic rhetoric like personal manifestation, you create your own reality, and personal sovereignty - and moving toward inclusive language, to prime us with the ultimate reality of the universe: our interconnectivity.
