Overwhelmed with emotion. It hit me a little later than I thought. Vice President, Kamala Harris - a BLACK woman from Oakland, child of immigrants and HBCU bred. She doesn’t fit within any box or generalization society tries to throw our way. God bless the believers and the doers. Resilience and persistence have proven to be key attributes for change. To believe in the limitless opportunities that exist in all of our lives. Representation matters. Hope matters. Well done, madam Vice President. Well done to the game changers who have worked tirelessly for our community - we needed this representation of hope, change and belief in humankind more than some of us even knew.
