Last week I participated in CMAS pool World Championships 😁 Overall I won 2 gold🥇🥇 medals, 1 silver 🥈medal and broke 1 World Record 🌏 . First gold came on the first day where I did no fins dive (DNF) of 233.8m in the 50m pool. The day after I did 274.06m in bifins discipline (DBF) but lost to a French athlete @guillaumebourdila by 64cm (274.7m) which is like losing 0.03s in a 100m meters run. I was very unlucky and a bit disappointed. The dive felt bad, I was still a bit tired from DNF the day before. . On the 3rd day I rested and after 48h I used all that energy for motivation and pushed my dynamic with monofin (DYN) to 321.43m, gold medal by a big margin (35m) and fantastic new world record (beaten my old 316.53m from 2019). I remain as the only athlete who has ever turned at a 300m wall. It was a perfect dive in every aspect for me. I was fully regenerated, I kept my current training pace and covered this distance in 4:46 which gives roughly 45s per 50m. . In retrospect, I was fighting for 3 golds and lost by a tiny bit but there was a reason for that and I can clearly see that. Next pool season I will probably work on improving my speed in bi fins (DBF) because by losing 64cm I have a huge motivation to focus on that discipline more, improve my speed and see where my limits are. . I've been using @goldfin_zolotov since 2015 and broke all my DYN WRs in it. Zolotov is an Ukrainian hand-made manufacturer who just returned to Kharkov and resumed monofin production.
