Dudog’s Story—How an Access to Care grant helped save a life and kept a family together. ❤️⁣ ⁣ Joshua and Jalo had recently rescued a sweet puppy that was left in an abandoned home. It didn’t take long for them to fall in love with their new family member, Dudog. Unfortunately, Dudog soon showed signs that he wasn’t feeling well. They later found out that Dudog had tested positive for Parvovirus, a very contagious and serious disease that can often cause young pets who contract it to pass away. They tried to get him help at multiple places across town, but finding veterinary care that was affordable was proving to be difficult. Luckily, when they brought him to @fcnmhp, they were able to apply for a PetSmart Charities grant and were approved on the spot for the full cost of treatment to help take care of Dudog.⁣ ⁣ When we told Joshua and Jalo that donations at PetSmart go to help families like them, we asked if they had anything to say:⁣ “It means a lot. We just couldn’t do it without this grant—what PetSmart Charities is doing for dogs and families. Donate, donate, donate. Money is coming to a real, genuine place. It is loving, caring people who want to see your dog healthy.
