November is the month we officially started Glow Recipe 7 (!) years ago. I’m still blown away every time someone says they know the brand, use our products. It makes my week to get messages that we’ve helped someone’s skin or that a piece of content or post we’ve done is educational or uplifting. And it especially feels this way because those early years of building Glow Recipe step by step are memories that are still very real and immediate to me. Each and every customer we’ve been able to meet over the years - in those early days, it was all a dream. More than anything, I’m grateful for our Glow Gang and this community we’ve built together over the years - thank you 🙏. Also what do you want to see from us in 2022? Would love to hear your thoughts! Random snippets from over the years 👉 - Our first ever popup in Soho in 2017, where we first introduced Glow Recipe Skincare. We teared up to see the line on opening day even though it was raining. Didn’t realize until week 1 that you have to apply for a trash collection permit when operating a retail store which was a learning exp 😂 - My favorite merch item ever - Animal Crossing Glow Gang Sweater - Our rockstar team proactively proposed doing a consultation event for our community on IG and answered over 1000 comments. I was 🤯 by both our team & how much customers loved this. - Handwritten cards we used to send our customers. At the end of each day we’d pack boxes and write cards until our hands cramped. We sadly had to stop this in yr 1, because we couldn’t keep up. - First ever social post on @glowrecipe from Nov 2014, a composition of random objects like eggs (?) and some minor 🥑 foreshadowing. Grateful for our social team who doesn’t let us post anymore. - First ever west coast popup in LA where we met so many amazing customers (should we do another one?) - One of the most important things we’ve done as a company are the commitments made to use language that normalizes real skin and skin acceptance. - A doodle I did to celebrate 4k IG followers.
