BIRTH STORY PART 2
At around 9:30 pm I went into our guest house which we prepared weeks before as the ‘birthing house’. Evie was born here as well, and she actually did try and kick me out of the house mid contraction! She said go away mama this is myyyyy house .. oh oh (reality siblings check 😅) .. luckily Oddy could steer her away and I could focus again on the contractions which were closer and closer now. I started vomiting a lot - I know a sign that things are moving , and when my doula arrived around 10:30pm i think I was about 7cm dilated. I started crying and being really emotional which I haven’t had before. I was exhausted , the pain was intense and I really thought wow I can’t do this. This is usually the moment of ‘transition’ . Oddy kept telling me to listen and repeat : “yes you can, you CAN do this , you know this. You are so strong , keep breathing “.I knew I had to focus on birthing our baby now . I really wanted to go into the birth pool that Cyd was preparing buuuuuut we ran out of hot water 🤣😩 so there goes that.. hahaha no pool for me. The next contraction was so intense I realized she was actually already moving down the birth canal. She reeeeeaaly took her time going through, i didn’t remember this with my other babies. It was painful and intense but the same time my body needed this pace to open up. There’s so much going on during birth with a woman’s body. Physically, mentally, spiritually. It is so surreal feeling your own baby coming through you, opening up , going through this pain only to surrender and trust in your body and your instincts. Not just giving birth to your child but also to yourself as a mother .
Read the comments for the next part , my ‘caption is too long’ 😅
