What a moment we shared last week! Within our newly-unveiled double-height atrium space, singing bowls practitioner Chaitanyashree held a hushed crowd spellbound with a meditative sound bath. This event was part of our September Art After Hours series, celebrating the recently-reopened 20th-century and Asian lantern galleries with new ways to experience art – this sound bath reverberated around Ken Unsworth's breathtaking sculptural installation 'Suspended stone circle II'. Next week on Wednesday 21 September, Chaitanyashree will return to hold a second free sound bath from 7.30-8.30pm in the 'Elemental' exhibition on the lower level of our Asian lantern gallery. #ArtAfterHours on this night also has a free curator highlight tour and a fascinating free panel discussion on art and politics.
