the amount of soul and heart that goes into making the music that you hear & the art that you consume cannot be described in words. i would fail every time trying to explain to you the revisions we made, the constant texts about every little sound that resonated with me or did not, the need to keep going back to the drawing board to make sure we had the most vulnerable, yet powerful vocal i could deliver. the uphill battles and the hard conversations around where i coexist amongst this industry. sooooo much to get to this point, and i said when i start releasing music again, i would give up my clutch and let it be free, as that would be my reward. over the past few days, i have had so many reaffirmations that we’re doing god’s work, the great work, and i’m extremely thankful for it all truly. thank you for listening to Matador, thank you for being a fan, a friend, and family. and now i go, right back to where we begin, to keep creating this world for you. ❤️🫂
