JONATHAN SIMKHAI S/S ’23 RUNWAY SHOW Luxury womenswear designer Jonathan Simkhai (@jonathansimkhai) debuted his Spring / Summer 2023 ready-to-wear collection under the guise of perhaps one of the most elegant materials to date: amber. Representing the duality between the archaic past and the unimaginable future, the amber-inspired collection was rooted in preserving simplicity. From earth-toned gowns to organic silhouettes, the 37-look collection bridged sensibility and style. The eponymous label was established in 2010 under the goal of constructing a new facade for the modern woman by finding elegance in solitude. This season, the collection recalled an infinite timeline of expression, from fossil-influenced lace to dazzling crystal embroideries.
