My first depth WR (World Record)! . During VB (@vertical_blue), Wimbledon of depth freediving competitions, I dived to 127 meters in Free Immersion (pulling on a rope down and up). In 2014 I set my first pool WR, a month after I traveled to VB where I was getting close to FIM WR but I missed it by a few meters. After 8 years I came back and finished what I started back then. . I’m extremely happy and as a first person in Poland I have established a WR in freediving depth disciplines. It has been a long time coming and I finally managed to improve my national records in other disciplines 😀 90m CNF and 123m CWT. . I was too optimistic about competing in Roatan just after VB. I realized that it would be too much exhaustion if I plan to compete later in Kas as well. I came back home, I will recover and on Saturday I will fly to Kas to train for CMAS WC. I look forward to it as I have a lot of things to train and I view it as the beginning of my depth journey. In 2019 I quit my 9-5 job to focus more on depth, pandemic and my two knee surgeries went in a way. Last year in 6 months I did 74 depth training sessions and it paid off this year. I kept adapted by diving in @deepspotpoland once per few weeks. When I arrived in the Bahamas at the end of June I basically picked up where I left off last year. . Thanks to my wife @_kocia_mama_ for her awesomeness, love and support. She became the world's best surface coach, battle tested by @willtrubridge. Speaking of Will, words can’t express my gratitude for the organization of this wonderful event that has very high safety standards and time we spend training and supporting each other. Head of safety @freediversitalia assembled the best safety group that enabled athletes to reach their peak performance in the best conditions in the world for freediving. Everything was smooth and athletes didn’t have to worry about a single detail. Thanks to my dear family, all the friends watching, cheering and to freediving comrades that we shared time while preparing for this event.
