Something i realized a while ago when browsing Flipboard comfortably from the safety of my home... all headlines were news of heat waves, big wall of waves towering over tourist destination islands around the world, animals migrating way too soon before it’s supposed to happen, and so on and so on and so on... some of you may have already seen that eerily similar clip of Don’t Look Up and a British news section on Twitter where entertainers and media personalities refuse to give credits on how serious the situation is. Pardon me while I bore you to death but this is finally it my dudes, this is really happening. It may be hard to think of what actual impact we can make when you read about how people like Kylie Jenner produces bigger carbon footprint in a month than we average people do in a year, what can ten less plastic bottle possibly do against a private jet that flies once a week? but me and you we can always support our favorite environmental movement. Help them create pressure. It’s hard to think about music when there won’t be any space to perform in the future. It just feels pointless. At this point all the love songs feel pointless. All the slander we throw at each other because of how you hate me and my music or vice versa feel pointless. A lot of the people I know feel unworthy to speak of such topic because they “still use plastics”, “still smoke” “eat meat”, or “use a personal car everyday”, but there will never be a perfect consumer. It’s okay to opt for a plastic bag and support these movement at the same time. There. Will. Never. Be. A perfect. Consumer. We didn’t create the system and regulations to begin with. The ones who should be held accountable are those who have the power to regulate. Selamat hari Kamis. #morningrant
