Around a week ago, sabukaru reached a new milestone: 150 000 followers. To celebrate this, we thought it was the perfect occasion to show what actually happens behind the scenes, and the faces who build each and every article, slide, and post. Today, most of our members of Tokyo gathered at the office to show you what our daily lives look like. The sabu team consists of a diverse group of people from all around the world, from Japan, the US, Europe, the Philippines, and more. We are from everywhere, and we all strive and do our best to make this magazine extraordinary. What started about three years ago in a 3-meters-square office in Tokyo is now a triple-floored office with a studio, a ton of old magazines, too many sneakers, and people from all kind of backgrounds. Our goal is to celebrate people in the spotlight but also honour many unknown legends, local heroes, forgotten champions, Japanese subcultures, and popular culture all around the world.
