Last minute scenic wander home and scenic it was ☘️ I love in Ireland that even the most serious encounters are an opportunity for humor and human connection. Coming through airport security yesterday the guy stops the girl in front of me laughing after the bag scan: “liquids? You have the whole of Boots (pharmacy) in there! I admire people for trying to get them through. Fair play to you.” The last time I was back the immigration guy saw a stamp for Cuba on my passport. “Cuba?” he said serious faced for a split second. “Jaysus, in Havana did you got to that big open air nightclub? I had a mental night there. Some craic”. Big smile. Stamp. Someone needs to start a Go Fund me campaign to tow Ireland over next to Jamaica so the sun could shine like this everyday. Sometimes I forget how lucky I am to be from a country that doesn’t think peanut butter should be added to everything 😉. Thanks to those of you who asked about shows there. This trip was too last minute to organize them but I will do next time around 🙌
