Now that I’ve recovered (well, almost) from the most joyous and ruckus irl astro party in 3 years, I just want to say how thankful I am to be in such a queer and thoughtful and funny and beautiful and brilliant and loving community. #NORWAC2022 was life-changing for me. I have been going through a lot personally and have been wondering if I can actually continue doing this work. This past long weekend was the loudest possible confirmation that The Gawds & The Ancestors could have given me that yes, in fact, I need to be here, I need to keep going, I need to have the courage to fight for my dreams. So, thank you to all you beautiful astros who showed me love, encouragement, support, laughter, care, and true friendship. I don’t know where I’d be without this craft and the people who work everyday to hone their ability to speak its language. I guess now I’m finally gonna cry out of pure joy from how much this weekend meant to me and, most importantly, engage with Aphrodite on Her day to ask Her how we’re gonna make this move to Seattle happen IMMEDIATELY bc it’s honestly set in stone for me at this point. It’s just a matter of when. Who’s with me!?
