Two years have gone by in a flash and our quiet baby has turned into a toddler tornado🌪! I often describe parenthood as a roller coaster of emotions, you’re up and down in a matter of seconds, but it has also been a constant source of education. Learning about another tiny human being (while trying to guide them) and learning about myself. My biggest lesson has been that my responses to unwanted behavior is mostly a conditioned response of what I learned from my parents. No judgement to them, as they did the best they could and I know my experiences made me who I am (for better or worse 🤷🏽‍♀️). Since October is #DomesticeViolenceAwarenessMonth I wanted to say to other survivors, that you and your story matters - but it does not have to define or cage you. Generational trauma can be healed. Every moment is a chance to undo what we have been taught. ✌🏽❤️‍🔥
